Ambassadors selected for Euro 2012
We already know the name of the official ambassadors of Euro 2012. They are legendary players from Poland and Ukraine - two from each of the host countries. UEFA has asked for that Zbigniew Boniek, Andrzej Szarmach, Oleg Blokhin, and Andriy Shevchenko.
Zbigniew Boniek is one of the hundred best players in the history of world football, is a World Cup medalist from 1982 and was the third winner of the Ballon d'Or.
Andrzej Szarmach is the Olympic silver medalist (1976), where he was appointed as a best goalscorer. He is also World Cup double medalist.
Oleg Blokhin is the winner of the Ballon d'Or in 1975 and one of the best players in the history of the Soviet Union.
Andriy Shevchenko in his sports career was announced the best player of leagues: Ukrainian, Italian and Champions League, in which he also won the title of best goalscorer. Together with Boniek hit the list of 100 best players of the twentieth century.
